Looking Back on 2009.

Looking back on this year, I think of the kids and how much they have grown. Katie started 7th grade, and adapted in more ways possible. She loves it. My little Jo is in 6th grade and will soon be moving on to junior high. EJ and Hannah are becoming more independent and are not needing me quite as much. How sad! I look at their pictures the first of this year and they all look so little. Where has the time gone? 2009 brought us many good moments, I am scared to "let go" and move on for fear things might change to much!

Things we accomplished this year....

1. We made it through over 85 (not 50 as I originally thought) soccer games.
2. We went on 5 camping trips and 2 vacations, and survived.
3. We celebrated 6 birthdays, and a 17th anniversary!
4. Together we started a new job, and surprisingly made it through the first week WITHOUT Xanax!
5. We paid our bills on time and didn't bounce one check!!!
6. We went to the grocery store spending $300 26 times.
7. We bought a brand new RANGER!
8. We celebrated Grandma's 90 birthday!
9. We made it through our oldest daughter starting puberty!!!!
10. We went boating, sledding, four wheeling, swimming, biking and SMILING!
11. We drove about 30,000 miles to basketball practice, baseball practice, gymnastics, soccer training, conditioning, and Futsul games and got to most of them on time.
12. We had very few injuries, no stitches or broken bones, just a few minor burns (thanks to EJ).
13. I sutured, removed a toenail, a mole, diagnosed H1N1, and completed at LEAST 100 pap smears!
14. Together we tried to enjoy the journey and forget the destination!!!

Goodbye 2009!
Happy New year, hopefully 2010 is as great as 2009!

2010 is going to be better! We will keep the treadmill locked up so maybe this year you can get by without any injuries! Tell the kids that my snowman wants to come over and stand next theirs. She is too cute!
