J-BIrd

Ethan got his J-bird name from his dad.  He did and still does have skinny little bird legs, and as a two year old Thane thought he looked like a little running bird.  EJ has grown from a baby robin to a roadrunner :)  He is motivated and determined, to do anything he sets his mind too, unfortunately his mind and our minds do not often match!  Ethan LOVES to play and does NOT like to work.  Ethan's room is not CLEAN, and the floor is lined with little "guys".  Ethan has a great imagination and loves to "shoot" with the guys.  Ethan is the epitome of the dog on the Disney move UP. "Squirrel" is a normal occurrence in our household when EJ gets asked to do something.  He is SO easily distracted, and I find him in his room playing after I have asked him to do something.
Ethan is very close to me.  He loves to cuddle, and prefers me over his dad.  I guess you could call him a mommas boy, but do not tell him that.  He loves all sports, except soccer.  Imagine that?  He loves to wrestle, play football, baseball, and basketball.  He does well at all.  He was awarded most steals on his basketball team, and was also awarded most fouls!  He gets that from his sisters, he has to fight for what he wants in our household.  This is reflected on his the court.
EJ does REALLY well at school.  Things come easy for him and he is really good at Math.  He says it his favorite subject, next to lunch and recess.
Ethan is not a big eater, he LOVES spaghetti, but hates pizza, hamburgers, and fried chicken?  He really doesn't care much for sweets, although eats them when they are available.  He loves Dr. Pepper, and sneaks it when he can.  Ethan never cares what he wears, as a matter of fact he SLEPT in his clothes last night!!!!  YUCK!  Ethan has some really good friends, he loves his "twin" Blake, and makes himself right at home when he is over there.  He also loves, Karsten and Bodee.  He is rarely home and prefers things to be that way.  Ethan is a foot smaller than Hannah right now, is 56 pounds, and wears a size three and a half shoe.  He is still really small, but I am sure that he is going to be bigger than his sisters someday, until then he is just the right size for me to squeeze :)
I love you big boy, you determination inspires me, hopefully we can channel that to amount to something big as an adult.  EJ, I love your smile, your long eyelashes and your compassion for others.  You love life, and only your sisters make you angry.  I love that you are all or nothing, and really go after what you want.  I never imagined that the three pound little boy who would not leave his feeding tube in, would turn into such a great kid!  You make me HAPPY.

Pics to come.

J-Bird!!! There is nothing wrong with being a mama's boy once and a while. After all the girls dig it even if they won't admit to it.

Baby girl....Jess was a 'momma boy', still is and I'm proud of it! If EJ turns out as well as Jess has, you will be proud. But, you will be proud no matter what he does and that is the important thing. When he hears that he is a momma's boy, tell him that Jess was also and looked how he is now! Momma's boys learn how to treat girs/women and kind of understand them which will be very healful in his lifetime. Too bad he doesn't know how to handle his sisters right now! HA!
