This weekend we went camping to Willard bay. Even though it isn't far away the kids absolutely love it! The campground is like a little playground, with many trails for bike riding, bunnies, squirrels to feed and a beach within a half a mile. I especially love the pelicans, and feeding the squirrells. We spent a good bit of time just laying on the beach. We did go out in the boat and rode the tube. It is getting fun and the kids are getting adventurous, wanting dad to "hit the waves"!
On Saturday night we celebrated Nannie's birthday. She came up and we had hot dogs, salad and baked beans, the perfect camping dinner. We finished it up with Smores, specially made by Hannah! Thanks Hannah! We really enjoyed ourselves, as we had just got back from boating most of the afternoon.
Other than a blown tire on the way down not too bad of a trip. We are happy that the tire blew now and not when we were going farther.
Well, starting the new job tomorrow, lots of hard work in front of me! Kind of nice just relaxing this weekend.
